Jan Bajtlik (born in 1989 in Warsaw) is multidisciplinary artist working on fields of illustration, graphic design, painting and drawing. He graduated from the Graphic Arts Faculty at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2013).
Since 2016 he has been working creating designs for Hermès Paris for silk scarves, enamel jewellery, beachwear and Home. He is co-author of the scenography for the reopening of Hermès boutique in the Dubai Mall and the graphic identification of Hermès Fantasty Funfair in Dubai. His projects represents various design approach, styles and techniques.
Jan designs his own books for children, posters and illustrations. He illustrated among others: The New York Times, Time Magazine, Courrier International, Google. He is the author of an activity book for children “Alphadoodler” (Tate Publishing, 2016) about typography and creative scribbling awarded special mention Bologna Ragazzi Award 2015. In 2014-2016 he gave around 150 art workshops for children in many countries in Europe. His children’s book “Our Car” (Neal Porter/Roaring Brook Press, 2018) is The 2018 New York Times/New York Public Library Best Illustrated Children’s Book.
Jan Bajtlik received numerous awards in national and international graphic competitions, including a silver medal at the 10th and bronze medal at the 12th International Poster Triennial in Toyama (Japan). In 2015 he received special award from Polish Minister of Culture prof. Małgorzata Omilanowska for his children books and educational work for children.
In 2016 he had exhibition in Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris as part of the Fête du Graphisme. His drawings and paintings were presented in Disegni section at Artissima 2018 art fair in Turin.
Jan is also ultramarathon runner and alpinist. He is living and working in Warsaw and Argentière in the French Alps.

From 2014 to 2016 he conducted 144 art and typography workshops for around 3000 children, parents and educators. Workshop took place in many different cultural, educational institutions and culture festivals in Poland, Germany, France, England, Austria, Italy, Spain, Russia and Macedonia. In 2016 he conducted series of workshops in Tate Modern Gallery, MACBA in Barcelona and Center of Modern Art in Warsaw. He cooperated with education foundation Kulturkind in Berlin, Festivaletteratura in Mantova, Transbook and cultural festivals in Poland.
Running ultramarathons, rock climbing, alpinism and ski touring in Tatra Mountains and Alps. Mountaineering in Kaukasus in Georgia and Indian Himalayas.
